Our mission is simple: to bring the world to Puerto Rico through hosting important on-stage discussions that inform, entertain, enrich and inspire our community. Our events feature some of the most influential names in politics, the media, business, culture and the arts in an intimate and thought-provoking setting.
We believe that everyone deserves access to new ideas, and that these ideas, and the people who engage with them, are essential to Puerto Rico’s long-term health and vitality. We ask our audiences to embrace curiosity, engage thoughtfully with complicated conversations, and to treat everyone with respect. You can review our Code of Conduct to learn more.
Puerto Rico Live hosts the people behind the ideas shaping today’s world so that we can positively impact ours. If you have a suggestion of someone to feature on our stage, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After two decades commercial banking experience in the US and abroad with GE Capital, co-founder Miguel Estien returned to Puerto Rico in 2018 to support the island's recovery efforts, with a focus on strengthening Puerto Rico’s private sector. He is accompanied by his wife and co-founder of Puerto Rico Live, Erin Pelton, a former diplomat and Obama administration spokesperson.
Miguel and Erin met in graduate school at Georgetown University, and have cultivated a life-long passion for studying the pressing social and economic issues of our times. Together they are leveraging their professional expertise and networks to bring Puerto Rico Live to life, curating conversations of value for all who seek to engage in the exchange of ideas.
In the process they are enjoying working with all kinds of amazing Puerto Rican small businesses – from digital marketing and media to production and event planners.
